Lindsey Imbs

Lindsey is a Brevard County native joining Bella Mental Health as a registered mental health counseling intern. She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Florida and her M.Ed. in School Counseling from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Lindsey’s background as a certified school counselor and classroom teacher for over 13 years in grades Pre-K through the collegiate level has provided her with insights into the complexities of the adolescent brain and the impacts that life transitions have on young people. She has a passion for helping teens and young adults navigate the exciting, but sometimes overwhelming life transitions that come as they approach adulthood.

Whether it be anxiety, depression, or just uncertainty about developing personal goals or sense of self, Lindsey creates a safe place for clients to work through the "tough stuff" in order to grow confidently in the direction of their dreams and aspirations. Lindsey is an ASCA certified adolescent grief and loss specialist and has walked alongside young people as they traverse the various stages of grief through art and talk therapy in group and individual settings. As a former military spouse, Lindsey understands the unique challenges faced by the military community and is here to provide support for military families. Lindsey hopes her clients leave her feeling empowered to live life authentically as their best self.
